Moisturizing and Regenerating Active Principles

Aloe vera organic juice: Softens the skin giving it a velvety and uniform appearance. Improves the skin’s natural hydration factor due to its moisturizing and emollient properties. This is mainly due to its mucilage content, which absorbs and retains water under certain conditions, making it a moisturizing agent. It helps to regenerate tissues due to the synergistic action of the various constituents of the gel, which act by stimulating the growth of fibroblasts, angiogenesis and re-epithelialization. The end result is an increase in collagen and glycosaminoglycan content in the new repair tissue. The active compounds responsible for these effects are glycoproteins (which promote cell proliferation), low molecular weight components (which promote re-epithelialization and angiogenesis), and sugars, polysaccharides, and phenolic compounds.

Lithothamion calcareum: Backed by studies that guarantee 120h of hydration, it is a powerful natural enhancer of the skin barrier, balances the epidermis and is an antioxidant. This active ingredient is based on a novel hydrocolloidal matrix of rice amylopectin and also contains a fraction rich in calcium extracted from the Lithothamnion calcareum algae. Lithothamnion calcareum, also called Phymatolithon calcareum, is an algae of the coral family widely used in cosmetics, food and natural medicine as it is an important source of calcium. In the epidermis, calcium plays a key role: it controls enzyme activity, gene expression, and keratinocyte differentiation. In cell aging, the calcium gradient that allows the correct regulation of these processes is lost and, for this reason, a calcium supply to the epidermis will be beneficial.

Ferulic Acid: This natural antioxidant helps to effectively eliminate free radicals. Its photoprotective properties reduce the damage caused by UV rays. Contributes to increase the firmness of the skin and replenishes lipids, helping to combat wrinkles. As it inhibits tyrosinase activity and melanin content, it whitens the skin and helps to remove age spots and sun spots. Ferulic acid is a phenolic derivative of plant cell walls and is found in lignocellulose, a substance that crosslinks lignin and polysaccharides, giving plant cell walls rigidity.

Active ingredient based on Alaria esculenta extract: Effective firming and revitalizing agent that helps restore firmness and elasticity to the skin while stimulating collagen synthesis and hyaluronic acid synthesis. It also prevents the degradation of elastin and collagen.

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid: Increases natural hydration and improves skin texture due to its ability to stimulate the proliferation of fibroblasts, which stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid. The skin is redensified, appears more toned and with the furrows of wrinkles attenuated. It helps prevent wrinkles because it stimulates the synthesis of ECM (extracellular matrix), decreases ECM degradation and stabilizes and improves dermal papillae.

High molecular weight vegetable hyaluronic acid: Provides the skin with a long-lasting moisturizing effect, providing a protective film-forming effect. It helps the skin to be protected and hydrated for longer, because this hyaluronic acid is capable of retaining a high percentage of water considerably greater than its molecular weight. The skin is protected from free radicals, smooth, elastic, soft and silky.

Very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (≤5000 D): It quickly penetrates tissues and has a soothing and repairing function. It also attenuates skin sensitization reactions, has an anti-radical effect and improves the skin’s barrier function.
